Update coming in a few hours!

HEY EVERYONE!!! It's coming in a few hours, I just have to fix an issue that's causing the game to run slowly. It should only take a short while! If it doesn't come out tonight, it will be tomorrow afternoon. Sorry that it's running kinda late!

New Update Soon

The newest Build should be up quite soon. We've worked out several issues with AI and almost made a rudimentary menu system. For the AI, all that needs to be done is a little bit of coding, and then the rest is easy setting up. for the menu system, nothing is really working yet, but it will take only a couple hours of work to get things like the missions and trading worked out.
A map system won't be available until next build, and with that we have a few other Ideas in mind...

More to Come

Now that I've had a few days to work, I've gotten a bit of progress. I reworked some of the AI, movement and Weapons to make the a little more fluid. I changed the cloud color on Titan, from a dull orange to a dull gray. I like that a bit better. I'm working on the links, but I should have a DevBuild ready by this afternoon.

I'm going to try to focus the team on getting a working menu system, including saving and loading and a full list of stats(money, Fleet strength, research, Rank, etc). After that We'll get into the story line and really tweak the AI. Eventually, I hope we'll be able to make the game playable on the slower running computers. At the moment my 2gb ram laptop can't handle it.

I've been debating what things there should be on the long distances between planets. Currently, it's about 5-15 minutes to get from one moon to it's closest neighbor. I was thinking that The player could be able to mine larger space rocks, and that every now and then You could be attacked by various enemies, Pirates, Bounty Hunters, Enemy fleets. But I want this game to pique people's interest beyond the fighting. I'm hoping to come up with some strange things that will happen by you as you're going to whatever place. Things that will make the player go "Hold on.... What is this?"

Eye of Dawn Development

At the moment, Eye of Dawn is fairly developed. The game is a 3rd person Flyer, where you play as a Pilot, fighting to save the fate of humanity. Beginning on the moon Titan, You learn to fly, navigate and battle in space and on the various worlds that you may travel to.

The governments of earth have long since abolished war at large. Peace had dawned and humanity began to discover that it was far from alone. Discoveries of new worlds, as vast and complex, with histories and cultures just as deep and numerous as our own, began a golden age for humanity. But such peace was not meant to last. Humanity began colonizing suitable worlds in the solar system, but soon war and chaos divided her once again. All the while, a threat loomed in the deep reaches of the galaxy. A war ridden race, full of greed and malice would hope to dominate them, but humanity is hard to control...

There is still so much to do though.

Currently, I wouldn't say this game is really playable. The player can fly through empty planets, and eventually come to an inanimate Pirate base that will eventually be a very hard boss fight. Many enemies are almost ready, but they have no obstacle avoidance, and that's harder than you might think to come up with.
Also part of this game will be commanding other ships, although that will take a will for me to think up.
